Robert Michael “Mike” Crews, 67, of Greenwood, IN, passed away peacefully at his home on December 20, 2025. He was born on July 14, 1958, to the late Russell and Barbara Jean Crews. Mike’s passing leaves a deep void in the lives of those who loved him, but his legacy of kindness, dedication, and love for his family will endure forever.

Mike grew up in Indianapolis, attending St. Bernadette Catholic grade school and graduating from Howe High School in 1976. From a young age, Mike showed a strong work ethic, beginning with a paper route and continuing on to a lifelong career in the grocery and produce business. He dedicated 50 years to this industry, starting at A&P Grocery, then moving to Caito Foods, Indianapolis Fruit, and retiring from Spartan Nash in 2023. His work was not just a job but a testament to his commitment to hard work and dedication.
Throughout his life, Mike’s passions were clear. He cherished his family above all else, and his love for them was unwavering. He was an active participant in the lives of his four children and two grandchildren, always supporting them in their various activities. Mike’s love for sports, the outdoors, nature, and card games filled his life with joy, and his involvement in local Pickleball clubs, bowling leagues, and other community activities reflected his zest for life and his commitment to enjoying every moment.
Mike was a devoted member of SS Francis and Clare Catholic Church, where he found a spiritual home and built lasting friendships with fellow parishioners. His warmth and generosity made him a beloved figure, and his ability to connect with people was one of his many gifts.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Sandy Crews; his four children: Christopher (Jessica), Megan (Josh Mariner), Matthew, and Eric; two grandchildren, Gavin and Ava; two step-grandchildren, Kai and Kaed; and three siblings: Jim (Janet) Crews, Cindy (Al) Fesselmeyer, and Tony (Tina) Crews. Mike’s family was his pride and joy, and he leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and shared memories.
