Afton Robertson Car Accident Rangely, CO Death, Obituary: Community Honor the Memory of 2025 Rangely Graduate

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Afton Robertson, a beloved member of the Rangely community and a 2025 graduate of Rangely Junior/Senior High School. Afton tragically lost her life in a car accident, leaving her family, friends, and the entire community deeply shocked and heartbroken.

Afton was known for her bright spirit, her infectious smile, and the kindness she extended to all those around her. She was a friend, a daughter, and a cherished classmate, and her absence has created a profound void in the hearts of everyone who knew her. Whether she was in the classroom, on the sports field, or simply spending time with friends, Afton’s genuine nature and her ability to make others feel valued and loved shone through in everything she did.

As a student at Rangely High School, Afton was known not only for her academic potential but for her passion for life and her love for her community. She was a young woman with a bright future ahead of her, full of dreams and potential that will never come to fruition. Yet, in the short time she was with us, Afton touched the lives of many, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and a spirit that will never be forgotten.

In honor of Afton’s memory, a vigil will be held on Friday, December 26, at 6:00 PM in the Rangely Junior/Senior High Auditorium. The community is invited to join together for a time of reflection, shared stories, and mutual support as we navigate this heartbreaking loss. Candles will be provided, but those who wish to bring their own or flowers to place at the memorial are welcome to do so. This gathering will be a time for healing and coming together as a community to honor Afton and the life she lived.

The Rangely School District, along with the community, extends its deepest condolences to Afton’s family during this incredibly difficult time. Professional counselors will be available on-site during the vigil for anyone who may need support, and school counselors will be available throughout the week for students and families.

Afton Robertson’s memory will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone who knew her. May her spirit bring us comfort as we remember the joy she brought into our lives.
