It is with deep sorrow that we announce the untimely passing of Edward Trejo, a cherished son, brother, and friend from San Antonio, Texas. Edward tragically lost his life in a fatal accident, leaving behind a community of family, friends, and colleagues who are heartbroken at his sudden departure.

His loss is felt profoundly by all who knew him, and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched. Edward dedicated much of his life to helping others, building a meaningful career as an educator of the VA Home Loan Benefit at Tony Dias in San Antonio.
In this role, he guided countless veterans and their families through the often complex processes of securing home loan benefits, always with patience, compassion, and genuine care.
His colleagues remember him as approachable, dependable, and committed, someone who never hesitated to go the extra mile to ensure that those he served felt supported and understood. Edward’s professional contributions were a reflection of the deep kindness and integrity that characterized his personal life.
A proud graduate of Earl Warren High School, Edward remained closely connected to his San Antonio roots throughout his life. Those who knew him well recall his warmth, humor, and loyalty, and the rare ability he had to make anyone feel seen and appreciated.
He was not only a trusted confidant but also a source of joy and adventure for those around him. Edward’s playful spirit shone in the “solo missions” he shared with close friends and family, experiences that became treasured memories and stories that will be remembered for years to come.
In the words of a family member, “With approval from his family, I’m posting this with deep sorrow and sadness. My little brother for life. No one knew how close we were and how much I truly loved you. Our solo missions will always be one for the books! I can’t believe I’m even typing this with tears running down my face. My only other Yankee in the group! You would call me anytime something was going on! I’m sorry I wasn’t there like usual to protect you. Edward Trejo.”
These words reflect the depth of love, trust, and friendship that Edward shared with those closest to him. Edward’s impact extended far beyond his work and adventures.
His kindness, infectious spirit, and unwavering loyalty created a ripple effect of positivity that will be felt by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Whether offering support in times of need, sharing a laugh, or simply being present, Edward left an indelible mark on his community and family.
San Antonio has lost a bright, caring soul, but Edward Trejo’s legacy of love, dedication, and compassion will live on. He will be remembered not only for the professional and personal accomplishments of his life but also for the joy, laughter, and unwavering loyalty he brought to all who were fortunate enough to call him a friend or family. Though his time with us was far too short, Edward’s memory will forever remain a guiding light for those who loved him.
