Preliminary reports from the Maryland State Police indicate that Beckham’s vehicle, a Nissan Sentra, struck the corner of a Toyota C-HR for reasons that remain under investigation. This initial impact triggered a chain reaction involving two additional vehicles: a Nissan Altima and a Toyota RAV4. The collision created significant traffic delays and required a rapid response from emergency services.

Emergency Response and Casualties

Emergency units from the Golden Ring Barrack, Baltimore County Fire Department, and Baltimore County Police promptly responded to the scene. James Beckham, the sole occupant of his vehicle, was transported to a nearby hospital but was pronounced deceased shortly after arrival.

Other drivers involved sustained varying degrees of injuries. Dante Summers, 26, who was driving the Nissan Altima, received medical treatment at a local hospital. The drivers of the Toyota C-HR and Toyota RAV4, along with one passenger, escaped without injury.
