BISMARCK, N.D. — Authorities have identified the two semi-truck drivers who died in a head-on collision in Logan County on Christmas Eve. The crash occurred around 8:30 a.m. on Highway 30, approximately three miles south of Streeter.

The drivers were identified as Abdullahi Mohamud, of Moorhead, Minnesota, who was operating a 2026 International, and Scott Schilling, of Wishek, who was driving a 2025 Kenworth. A passenger riding with Mohamud sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Sanford Hospital in Bismarck for treatment.
The roadway was closed for approximately six hours while authorities investigated the crash, with a detour in place during that time. The North Dakota Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision and reported that road and weather conditions were dry at the time of the crash.
This tragic accident has left the community mourning the loss of both drivers, highlighting the dangers faced on the road even under clear conditions.
