Shortly after arriving, Sreekumar underwent an electrocardiogram (ECG). Family members say he was later told that the results did not indicate anything immediately concerning. He was given Tylenol for pain relief and instructed to wait in the emergency room waiting area. No further testing or monitoring was reportedly provided at that time.
As the hours passed, Sreekumar’s condition allegedly deteriorated. His wife has stated that he began experiencing blurred vision, dry heaving, and escalating distress. At one point, his blood pressure reportedly reached a dangerously high level of 210. Despite these worsening symptoms, he remained in the waiting room for more than eight hours, raising serious concerns about whether the severity of his condition was adequately reassessed.
It was only after the prolonged wait that Sreekumar was finally called into the treatment area. Tragically, within seconds of sitting down, he clutched his chest and collapsed. Medical staff attempted to assist him, but he never regained consciousness and was later pronounced dead. Preliminary information suggests he suffered a cardiac arrest.
