ORLANDO, Fla. — The Orlando community is mourning the tragic loss of Lil’raylin Harrison, 17, who died after being shot in an Orange County neighborhood.

According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 9 p.m. to a report of a shooting near 26th Street and Ria Grande Avenue. Harrison was found suffering from gunshot injuries and was immediately transported to a local hospital. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his wounds and was pronounced deceased.

Authorities have not released details regarding the circumstances leading up to the shooting, and it remains unclear if any suspects have been identified or taken into custody. Law enforcement noted that Harrison’s death is the fourth fatal shooting involving a teenager in Central Florida since Christmas Eve. On Christmas Day, a separate incident claimed the life of a 13-year-old, and a 15-year-old was arrested and charged with manslaughter in that case.
