St. James Parish Accident: Four Killed in Devastating Christmas Morning Crash in St. James Parish

St. James Parish Accident – A tragic two-vehicle crash in St. James Parish claimed four lives and left two others injured during the early hours of Christmas morning, December 25, 2025. The collision occurred at approximately 3:45 a.m. on Louisiana Highway 641, south of Interstate 10, near the town of Gramercy, according to the Louisiana State Police (LSP).

Preliminary findings indicate that the accident involved a 2008 Honda Accord and a 2019 GMC Sierra pickup truck. Investigators reported that the Honda Accord was traveling northbound on LA 641 when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The car reportedly rotated, crossed the center line, and entered the southbound lane, where it was struck by the oncoming GMC Sierra. The impact was severe, resulting in multiple fatalities at the scene.

The driver of the Honda Accord was identified as Tyreione Parker, 35, of Baton Rouge. Parker was pronounced dead at the scene. Three passengers in the Honda also lost their lives: Kedrick Robertson, 29, of Baton Rouge; Gevin Harvey, 35, of Baton Rouge; and Christina Gillam, 22, of Shreveport. Authorities confirmed that all four adult occupants of the Honda suffered fatal injuries as a result of the crash.

A 13-year-old passenger who was also inside the Honda survived the collision and was transported to a nearby hospital with moderate injuries. The driver of the GMC Sierra likewise survived and sustained moderate injuries. Emergency medical personnel responded quickly, providing aid before transporting the injured to medical facilities for further treatment.

Louisiana State Police emphasized that seatbelt use—or the lack thereof—was a significant factor in the severity of the crash. According to investigators, none of the adult occupants in the Honda Accord were wearing seatbelts at the time of the collision. Additionally, the teenage passenger was not properly restrained, which likely contributed to the extent of the injuries sustained. LSP officials continue to stress the importance of proper seatbelt use for all vehicle occupants, regardless of seating position or trip length.

The investigation into the crash remains ongoing. While the exact cause of the Honda Accord losing control has not yet been determined, authorities confirmed that toxicology samples were collected from the drivers as part of standard procedure. These samples will be analyzed to determine whether alcohol, drugs, or other impairing substances played a role in the incident.

This devastating crash serves as a sobering reminder of the dangers on Louisiana roadways, particularly during holiday travel periods. Louisiana State Police urge motorists to drive responsibly, wear seatbelts, ensure passengers are properly restrained, and avoid impaired or distracted driving to help prevent future tragedies
