The search for Kenny Jackson Jr., 21, of Acworth, has ended in heartbreak after authorities confirmed that human remains found in rural Oglethorpe County belong to the missing young man.

Kenny was last seen on November 19 at Brook Run Skate Park in Dunwoody. When he failed to return home and his phone and bank activity went silent, his family reported him missing.
The case took a turn when off-duty police officers deer hunting discovered a silver Hyundai Elantra abandoned deep in a wildlife management area near Maxeys, roughly eight miles from the nearest paved road. The vehicle was later identified as Kenny’s.
Following an extensive search of the remote wooded area, the Oglethorpe County Sheriff’s Office located human remains, which the Georgia Bureau of Investigation later confirmed as Kenny’s. His cause of death has not yet been released.
Investigators say Kenny’s car was last detected by a license plate reader in Oconee County, about 90 minutes after he left the skate park. What happened afterward remains under investigation.
Kenny is remembered as a kind, patient soul who loved skateboarding and helping others learn. His family and community continue to grieve as authorities work to uncover the truth behind his death.
