TAYLORSVILLE, Utah — The Taylorsville community is grieving the tragic loss of Marc Marrero, 30, who died Monday night following a serious crash near the intersection of 5400 South and 2200 West.

According to Taylorsville Police, Marrero was riding his motorcycle eastbound when a vehicle lost control and struck him, throwing him from the bike. The vehicle then collided with a telephone pole. Emergency responders arrived quickly, but despite lifesaving efforts, Marrero succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Two other individuals, both 17-year-olds in the vehicle, were seriously injured and transported to local hospitals. Authorities have not released their identities. The cause of the crash remains under investigation, as police review the events leading up to the collision.
