It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Ashley Figueroa, who passed away unexpectedly on December 20, 2025. Born on August 15, 1990, Ashley was the fourth of ten children and brought a special kind of light to the lives of all who knew her. Her warmth, creativity, and unyielding love for her family, friends, and students were evident in everything she did, and her presence in this world will be dearly missed.

Ashley was a devoted fifth-grade teacher at Lowell Collegiate Charter School, where she made an indelible impact on her students. Her passion for teaching went beyond the lessons she imparted in the classroom—Ashley’s ability to uplift, inspire, and nurture her students was truly extraordinary. She poured her heart into every lesson, every interaction, and every moment spent with the children she loved so dearly. She is survived by her loving mother, Marissa Figueroa, and her siblings—Erika Cruz, Marisol Mercedes, Pedro Figueroa, Desirae Figueroa, Saprea Figueroa, Maria Figueroa Peacock and her husband Ricky, Yamilex Figueroa, Joshua and Jonathan Valenzuela. She was a devoted aunt to many nieces and nephews, whom she cherished deeply. Her family meant everything to her, and she showed them nothing but love, support, and devotion throughout her life.

Ashley’s legacy will live on in the countless lives she touched—both in the classroom and beyond. Her generosity, her vibrant spirit, and her boundless love for her family and students will never be forgotten. In the hearts of all who knew her, she will remain a bright and shining light.
