It is with profound sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Hunter Sebastian Boike of Detroit, Michigan, who tragically lost his life in a fatal car accident on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at approximately 1:00 a.m. Hunter was just 26 years old when he was called home by the Lord, leaving behind a family and community forever changed by his loss.
Hunter was a deeply loved son, brother, father, and friend. He is survived by his parents, Jason and Jodie Boike; his siblings, Logan, Chase, and Brooklyn Boike; and his beloved son, Kanon Boike, who was the light of his life and his greatest source of pride. He is also survived by his grandparents, Susan Boike and Jody Bates. Hunter was preceded in death by his grandfather, Floyd Boike, whom he now joins in eternal rest.
Those who knew Hunter remember him for his warm heart, infectious smile, and the genuine way he cared for others. He lived life with passion and love, always placing family first. Becoming a father was one of Hunter’s greatest joys, and his love for Kanon was unwavering. Though his life was tragically cut short, the love and memories he created will live on through his son and all who were blessed to know him.
Hunter’s presence brought laughter, strength, and connection to those around him. He was someone people could count on, someone who showed love not just through words, but through actions. His loss is deeply felt, and he will be dearly missed by family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.
A Memorial Service honoring Hunter’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m., with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service, on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Peshek Family Funeral Home, located at 68655 Stoecker Lane, Richmond, MI 48062.
To honor Hunter’s memory, and in lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that monetary donations be considered for the future and education of his son, Kanon Boike. This gesture reflects Hunter’s deepest wish—to provide for his child and secure his future.
