De’Kerrio Jamontez Cobb, 18, Fatally Shot at East Macon Gas Station


The Macon community is mourning the tragic death of 18-year-old De’Kerrio Jamontez Cobb, who was fatally shot Wednesday at a Citgo gas station on Shurling Drive in East Macon.

Bibb County deputies responded to a 911 call at 11:57 a.m. and found Cobb unresponsive with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Deputy Coroner Luanne Stone.

Authorities released surveillance images of a person of interest shortly after the shooting and are asking the public for help in identifying the individual connected to the incident.

Sergeant Christopher Williams urged anyone with information to come forward, noting that even small tips could assist the violent crime unit in its investigation.

Friends, family, and community members remember Cobb as a young man whose life was tragically cut short, leaving loved ones devastated and searching for answers.

As the investigation continues, the Macon community has rallied around Cobb’s family, offering support, prayers, and condolences during this difficult time.
